Sandra Lee has been named Allianz’s head of claims in Canada.

She succeeds Bernard McNulty, who remains Allianz Commercial Canada’s chief agent.

The appointment is a promotion for Lee, who joined Allianz Commercial in August 2024 as director of long-tail claims and has been responsible for managing and overseeing the Canadian portfolio of corporate liability, excess and financial lines claims.

“Sandra joined Allianz in 2024 and has quickly proven herself to be an outstanding leader,” says McNulty, to whom Lee will report. “She brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role as head of claims in Canada, allowing for a smooth leadership transition that will benefit our customers and partners.

“I am confident that Sandra’s vision and leadership will help drive Allianz Commercial’s ambitious growth goals in Canada.”

She joined AXA XL after 11 years at Economical Insurance, where she was responsible for leading casualty claims.

Lee has a bachelor’s degree in criminology from Carleton University, a Canadian Risk Management Designation (CRM) from the University of Toronto, and a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) certification from the Insurance Institute of Ontario.
