Cambridge a global outsourcing firm specializing in claims and loss management and the McLarens Grouop a Canadian-based claims management firm recently formed an alliance to expand their North American presence so that firms doing business in both Canada and the U.S. will now be able to reduce potential claims losses through a single entity. The alliance with McLarens is a key relationship for Cambridge’s expansion of its presence internationally. “By combining our IT capabilities and proprietary software with the McLarens network of offices throughout Canada, we can provide the first seamless approach to reduce claims losses for firms with operations in both countries,” Chris Sinclair, chairman and CEO, Cambridge, says. “This relationship is a prototype of how Cambridge can leverage our specialized expertise in claims management and technology to deliver the best and most efficient solutions around the world.” The president of McLarens Michael Holden says that the Company’s network of 81 offices will provide Cambridge access to licensed claims administrators throughout Canada, offering their new partner a coast-to-coast consumer base. He adds that the new partnership will help companies concerned about their exposure in two countries and two currencies minimize claims losses and liabilities.Together, the two firms will service and manage claims in a number of lines of insurance including auto liability, premises liability, product liability, professional liability and workers’ compensation. After joining the Scandent Group of companies in November, 2004, Cambridge extended its strategic global outsourcing capabilities in claims management to finance and accounting, insurance processing services, transaction processing including mortgage processing and healthcare administration services.
