The Canadian insurance industry mourns the loss of veteran broker Cyril MacKinnon, who passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 27. A long-time representative of the Insurance Brokers Association of PEI, MacKinnon was its president and director to the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC).MacKinnon was chair and managing partner of Concorde Insurance Brokers Ltd. in Murray River, PEI. “He was well respected by his past and present colleagues on the [IBAC] board and will be missed by all,” notes an IBAC statement.CU adds its condolences on the passing of a strong voice for PEI’s brokers.Cyril MacKinnon is missed by wife Dianne, children Chris and Dreea and grandson Gabrielle.
