Toronto-based Lindsey Morden has a new CEO who will also take on the top role at Cunningham Lindsey U.S.. Jan Christiansen was named to the position upon the resignation of Karen Murphy after four years. Christiansen was most recently CFO of freight and logistics company USF Worldwide Inc.

ING Insurance has donated $10,000 to the Peterborough Flood Relief Concert organized by local celebrity Ronnie Hawkins for August 6. The concert will raise funds for those affected by the recent flooding. ING notes that it has also been busy paying insurance claims from the flood, having paid out $7.5 million on 300 claims thus far.

In Alberta, the provincial government is set aside more than $75 million to assist residents with losses from flooding in the Edmonton area. The money will go to “uninsurable losses”, notes a government statement, adding that this means losses for which insurance “is not readily and reasonably available”.
