The site is at: http://www.echelon-insurance.ca/ Hamilton, Ontario and the Niagara Region have formed a partnership to develop the first critical infrastructure assurance program (CIAP) in Ontario.The program is designed to assess and reduce vulnerabilities and uncover interdependencies among critical infrastructure structures. Richard Kinchlea, Hamiltons designated community emergency management coordinator, will be offering a workshop in conjunction with the Institute for Catastrophic Loss Reduction, describing the 2005 Hamilton tornado event and outlining its common hazards and consequence. Kinchlea will also describe CIAP structures and how they mitigate these risks. The workshop will be held on Friday, Nov. 16 at Royal & SunAlliance Insurance Companys Toronto offices.
