Already with an office in Calgary, the Edmonton location will also offer a full range of personnel and commercial insurance from home to auto, lifestyle and business insurance while continuing to specialize in motorcycle and group products, notes a statement on Friday from the brokerage. “This new location allows us to grow relationships with our existing clients and continue to grow within the community,” says Josh Pauls, vice president and partner with Dalton Timmis Group, founded in 1997 as a multi-line brokerage. “Having locations in Alberta’s two major cities allows us to better reach our clients across the province,” Pauls reports in the statement. Also with Dalton Timmis Group, the brokerage entered a strategic partnership with insurance broker and consultant NFP Corp. in early June. New York-based NFP, which has offices in Toronto and Burlington in Ontario, as well as in Montreal provides employee benefits, property and casualty, retirement and individual insurance and wealth management solutions through its licensed subsidiaries and affiliates. As part of the partnership, NFP’s Canadian clients can access a full suite of p&c products available under the Dalton Timmis brand, while Dalton Timmis clients will have product options for employee benefits, wealth management, life and disability through NFP. “This partnership will allow us to maintain our deep client relationships, while offering a full range of Canadian P&C insurance products,” Marty Shaw, managing director of NFP in Canada, said at the time. “Through the partnership, we are diversifying our products and providing our staff with value-added options for their clients. It is a significant addition to our team,” Dalton Timmis partner Brian Timmis adds. Canadian Underwriter Save Stroke 1 Print Group 8 Share LI logo
