Blais takes over top spot at AXA

With the announcement of the retirement of AXA Canada’s Jean-Denis Talon from the position of CEO, the company says the top spot will be assumed by Jean-Francois Blais.Talon, who recently won the “Canada-France personality of the year” from the French Chamber of Commerce, will continue as chairman of the company he has been with for 22 years.Blais has been with AXA since 1988, most recently as president and COO since 2002. “Having long been aware of Jean-Francois’ exceptional career path, I pass the torch to him with complete confidence,” says Talon. “With his fine sense of strategy, innovative spirit and leadership based on balanced management, he will rally his employees around the AXA vision and inspire them to act in a unified manner, as a team.”
