CG&B adds Brampton brokerage to stable

Toronto area insurance and financial services network CG&B Group Inc. has bought Brampton brokerage Kylie & Associates. The acquisition brings CG&B’s annual property & casualty premiums up to more than $80 million, states a company press release.While Kylie currently deals in all classes of general insurance, CG&B should expand the brokerage’s product offerings with its own books of p&c, life, group, health and accident and sickness insurance. All Kylie staff, including principal Gerry Kylie, will remain at the Brampton office where they have been in operation for 11 years. Kylie will also join CG&B’s senior management team, and will play “a key role in the continued expansion of the firm [CG$B]’s interests in the west end of Toronto”, states the release.No financial terms of the sale were disclosed.
