Groupe Promutuel names Viens president

Groupe Promutuel has named Adrien Viens as its new president, following the departure of former president Mario Fortier for health reasons. Mr. Viens had been filling the president’s role in the interim, and the board of directors voted to offer him a three-year term in the position at a special meeting last week.Viens is president of Promutuel Gaspesie les Iles since 1998, and sits of the board of Groupe Promutuel, Promutuel Capital trust company, and Promutuel Guarantee Fund.”Mr. Viens is both an entrepreneur and a visionary,” says GroupePromutuel general manager Claude Robitaille. “Mr. Viens’ strengths,combined with his human vision of our organization, will be a significant asset for Groupe Promutuel over the coming years.”Groupe Promutuel includes 34 member mutual insurance companies.
