George Anderson, CEO of the Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC), has announced his retirement from the organization, effective from the beginning of July of this year. Anderson joined the IBC as president in 1992. "It has been a wonderful time to work at IBC, and we have accomplished some remarkable things. But, to my mind, a decade is long enough to be in the top job," says Anderson.George Cooke, president of the Dominion of Canada General Insurance Co., and chairman of the IBC board, will head up a succession committee to find a replacement for the position. It is expected that this process will take at least six months, the IBC says in a media statement.
