Fred, a veteran of World War II, was long-time general manager of the Canadian Federation of Insurance Agents and Brokers (now the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada) and a frequent contributor to this magazine. CU extends its sympathies to Helen, his wife of 51 years, as well as his daughter Mary and husband Brian, son Fred, son Jon and wife Manon, and his grandchildren Cory, Taylor-Keith, Emilie and Eric. He will be sadly missed by everyone in the industry. As one friend noted, “he was one of the really good guys in our business…someone you could depend on, and someone with a great sense of humor.” Anyone wishing to make a memorial donation can do so with the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
