Manitoba Public Insurance says that it will be paying out more than $3 million in claims for vehicles damaged by the severe weather.Hood, fenders and car roofs were damaged by hail as large as hardballs, CP reports. MPI expects to receive more than 1,000 claims, ranging between $2,000 and $3,000 each. But motorists will still be hit with deductibles ranging from $100 to $500.The public insurer will open an emergency claims center to handle the large number of claims.
