Attendees at the breakfast watched a dramatic production entitled ‘Handle With Care?’, which was based on a study with metastatic breast cancer patients. The ‘Handle With Care?’ production translates the research into a series of vignettes and was performed by actors from Act II Studio (pictured) along with performers who are actual breast cancer survivors. The performance focused on significant elements in the lives of ill people, and portrayed how friends, family, co-workers and health professionals can help them. WICC committee chairman Mabel Sansom reported to the attendees that the breakfast itself raised $20,000 in addition to reporting other significant WICC milestones, namely that the charity has collectively raised over $300,000 for Breast Cancer research since its inception.
