Davies was most recently senior vice president of regulatory affairs for the Royal Bank of Canada, and prior to that chief administrative officer for the University of Toronto. He has also been deputy treasurer and deputy minister of economics at the former Ministry of Treasury and Economics, and as deputy minister at several ministries including Housing, Financial Institutions and Citizenship and Culture. The Citadel General Assurance Company and L’Unique, Compagnie d’Assurances Generales has appointed William (Bill) Davis as vice president, central region. He brings 16 years experience in the Ontario insurance market. Folksamerica Reinsurance Co. announces Molly Sanders has been appointed senior vice president and casualty facultative manager. Sanders brings 24 years of reinsurance underwriting and management experience to the position. Automation vendor Applied Systems has promoted Michelle Cole-Kennedy to the position of vice president, client services. She has over 13 years experience in the broker and technology field, most recently as Applied’s director of training and services. Dr. Lutz Kohler is taking over responsibility for corporate communications at Hannover Re, including investor and public relations.
