With the merger of the Insurance Information Centre of Canada (IICC) and the Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC), IICC president and CEO Bernie Webber has announced his resignation. Terri MacLean, senior vice president of IBC’s Investigative Services Division, will be acting president and CEO of IICC. She will also be IBC’s executive vice president, Investigative Services Division and Chief Information Officer. IBC has also announced that Stanley Griffin has been appointed executive vice president, regional operations. Griffin will continue is his current position as president and CEO of the Facility Association until a replacement is named.

Brian Gordon, FIIC, has been named vice president of insurance sales for Correlation Technologies Inc. Gordon has more than 25 years experience in the insurance industry, including as vice president of claims for four companies.

Reinsurance exchange inreon has appointed Kaj Ahlmann as its permanent chairman and Rob Bredahl as CEO. Ahlmann is previously chairman and CEO of Employers Reinsurance Corporation and Bredahl leaves his position as vice president of operations at Internet Capital Group.

With the launch of lloyds.com, the company has named its first CEO, Ashok Gupta. Gupta is formerly CEO of CGNU’s home buyers’ website. The lloyds.com site, an Internet portal for brokers worldwide, was launched in late April.

Peace Hills Insurance is on the move to a new corporate headquarters in downtown Edmonton, in a building purchased by the company. Peace Hills Trust will remain at the company’s existing Edmonton headquarters. The company also has offices in Calgary, Winnipeg and Vancouver.
