Game brings more than 20 years experience to the role, including as a vice president with Gerling Global Re. Gina Ferris also joins the team as vice president, bringing with her 15 years of industry experience. Robert Finnie has been named vice president for CCR’s Canadian branch operations, having been with the branch since its inception. He has more than 16 years experience in the Canadian reinsurance market. Fix Auto Ontario welcomes Michael Butler as its new vice president business development for Ontario. He comes with more than 14 years industry experience, including work in the insurance marketplace. The newly-formed General Insurance Ombudservice has appointed its board, naming Lea Algar as chair. Algar established the Ontario insurance ombudservice and is currently a regulatory consultant with Lawrie Savage and Associates. Insurance industry directors are George Anderson, former head of the Insurance Bureau of Canada, and Peace Hills Insurance Company CEO Diane Strashok. The Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) has a new home at 110 Yonge Street, Suite 500, in Toronto, making the move in early September. All phone numbers will remain the same. Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) president and CEO Kevin Benson is resigning despite having held the office for less than a year. He is leaving “to pursue a unique opportunity in Ontario”, the ICBC says. Nick Geer, ICBC chair, will take over the president and CEO roles. ASCNet, the Applied Systems Client Network, has named Bill Jenkins its new executive director.
