Royal & SunAlliance Insurance plc and Royal & SunAlliance Insurance Group have seen their ratings moved to a stable outlook by Fitch Ratings. RSA has had its financial strength rating affirmed at “BBB” and its long-term at “BB+”, while RSA Insurance Group’s long-term rating is assigned as “BB-“. “The rating and new outlook of RSA reflect the progress made by the company in reducing the business risks, enhancing the capital base and improving its performance,” Fitch says.

The Women in Insurance Cancer Crusade is reminding everyone that now is the time to place Christmas orders from the www.WICC.ca online store. A selection of products including “Night to Shine” CDs, candles, ornaments and more is available. There is also the new option of making a donation in the name of a special friend or loved one this year for a donation of $25 or more, you will receive a card for that special someone, as well as a tax deductible receipt.

Pool sharks should chalk up their sticks for the Blue Goose Ontario Pond Annual Billiard Tournament and Convention Fundraiser, set for November 23 at The Crooked Cue on Bloor St. West in Etobicoke. Along with raising funds for the Grand Nest Convention in Toronto in 2008, a portion of the proceeds will also go to the Women in Insurance Cancer Crusade (WICC).
