Benfield opens Canadian office

Benfield Corporate Risk, a corporate insurance and risk intermediary, has recently opened a Canadian office in Calgary.

Incorporated Jan. 19, Benfield Corporate Risk’s Canadian operations will be managed by Richard Cutfield.

Cutfield has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance market and was formerly managing partner of Jones Brown Inc.

At Jones Brown, Cutfield carried responsibility for financial institutions and income trusts accounts, including energy exploration and production customers.

The new Canadian operation will initially focus on the development of specialty business in the marine, energy, power and mining sectors.
