A new report by Guy Carpenter addresses the growing concerns around toxic mold claims. Toxic Mold: A Growing Risk? looks at how the 9,000 mold claims filed in the U.S. and Canada in the last decade are affecting coverage and cost issues. “Heightened awareness of mold and mildew as both a public health and industry issue will help to minimize exposure and keep this problem from becoming our next asbestos or radon crisis,” says Brad Smith, head of Guy Carpenter’s Dallas office.
