With the retirement of CEO Terry Squire, The Co-operators has named Katherine Bardswick its new CEO effective March 1. She has been with the company since 1978 and is currently COO of its Sovereign General and L’Union Canadienne subsidiaries.

Technology vendor DWL announces the appointment of John Baumstark as CEO and Jim Modak as CFO of the company. Baumstark is formerly a senior vice president of Ariba, and previously COO of Tradex. Modak was managing director and co-founder of Armada Venture Group, and oversaw the merger of Ariba and Tradex. DWL co-founder Justin LaFayette, formerly president and CEO, remains as the company’s chairman.

Law firm Blakeney Henneberry Baksh Murphy welcomes J. David Murphy to its team of lawyers.

Scor announces it has added Jerome Faure, president and CEO of Scor US to its group executive committee to oversee the group’s North American property and casualty activities, exclusive of Commercial Risk Partners.

Software vendor Solcorp announces the appointment of Blair Goulet as senior vice president and general manager of its Canadian Caribbean and Latin American operations. Goulet brings more than 16 years experience in the technology industry to the new post, including a senior management position with Xerox.
