The Ontario School Boards’ Insurance Exchange has named Jim Sami as general manager and Attorney-in-Fact. He has over 20 years insurance experience, and began at the Safeco Claims School.

Hub International shareholders have added a new independent director to the company’s board with the election of Frank S. Wilkinson, an independent consultant. Wilkinson is former vice chairman of E.W. Blanch Holdings, Inc., a publicly-held corporation providing customized risk management solutions.

With its further expansion into western Canada, DGA Careers has appointed Mimi Garbutt senior recruiting consultant in Edmonton, AB. She has over 20 years insurance and recruiting experience and will complement DGA’s existing Calgary-based office.

WINMAR Property Restoration Specialists has opened two new Ontario locations. The first is in Brampton, headed by Dave and Jean Machado, and the second Peterborough/Kawartha branch is located in Bobcaygeon.
