John J. Hampton has been appointed executive director of the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS). A former insurance and finance consultant, Hampton has also served as provost of The College of Insurance and SUNY Maritime College, as well as authoring several insurance related publications.
Canadian Northern Shield has named Jim Caudle, former president of VanCity insurance services as its new senior vice president and COO. Caudle was formerly a vice president at CNS, working on product development, and brings 43 years of experience to his new post.
Robert P. (Bob) Vickerstaff has been named to the board of directors of Hi-Alta Capital. Vickerstaff is vice chairman and former president and CEO of AXA Pacific Insurance Company.
North Waterloo Farmers Mutual has appointed Gregory J. Anderson as vice president, underwriting. Anderson brings more than 25 years of industry experience to the position.
Larry Simmons has been named the new president and COO of Canadian operations for Royal & SunAlliance. Simmons was formerly COO of commercial insurance in the company’s U.S. operations. He takes over from temporary COO Linda Matthews, who is set to retire.
