Three Canadians on RIMS’s 2006-07 board

Three Canadians will serve on the Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc. (RIMS)’s board of directors in 2006-07.Two Canadians newly voted onto the RIMS board of directors include: Joseph A. Restoule (RIMS Secretary and board director). Roule is a senior risk consultant for the NOVA Chemicals Corporation, and is a member of the RIMS Southern Alberta Chapter. Kim A. Hunton (board director). Hunton is a risk manager for the City of Ottawa’s risk management financial services branch, and is a member of the RIMS Canadian Capital Chapter.The newly-elected members begin their term May 1, 2006, for a 16-month term ending on Aug. 31, 2007.Also, Janice McGraw is continuing her service as a RIMS board member. She is a manager at the risk management and insurance department of McGill University, and is a member of the RIMS Quebec Chapter.

Other RIMS board members elected in Hawaii include: Michael Liebowitz (RIMS President). Liebowitz is a risk manager for Bridgeport Hospital & Healthcare Services, Inc., and is a member of the RIMS Fairfield/Westchester Chapter. Janice Ochenkowski (RIMS Vice President). Ochenkowski is the director of global risk management for Jones Lang LaSalle, and is a member of the RIMS Chicago Chapter. Deborah M. Luthi (RIMS Treasurer). Luthi is the director of risk management services at the University of California, and is a member of the RIMS Davis Sacramento Valley ChapterOther new RIMS board directors include: Janet E. Barnes, Scott B. Clark, D. Terry Fleming, Jackie Hair, John B. Hughes, Daniel H. Kugler, and Ellen Vinck.Returning RIMS board members include Karen Beier, Michael J. Gaona, and John R. Phelps.
