Through discussions, exercises and practice scenarios, you will learn how to deal with challenging behaviours, assess your power in negotiation, and explore the blocks and barriers to such an approach. WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES • Recognize ways to stay calm and manage yourself during challenging negotiations • Identify tools to defuse an emotional or difficult person • Determine methods to deal with resistance and defensiveness • Assess your power in negotiation and determine when to settle, when to walk • Learn to set limits on inappropriate behaviour • Examine scenarios in the insurance industry where negotiation skills are often required AUDIENCE | This interactive workshop will benefit brokers, adjusters, underwriters or anyone who negotiates with others in business or personal affairs and values the relationships they have with those whom they negotiate with.
