George leads the North American Tech + Media + Telecom Division for WTW. It is one of seven aligned Tech Centers of Excellence worldwide and one of twelve industry divisions for the US and Canada offering industry expertise as the primary focus for the entire client experience. Our dedicated service and broking teams work exclusively with TMT clients and thus collectively bring vast and relevant experience to the table, backed by the expansive solutions of a truly global company across the breadth of people, risk and capital issues.

A Global Client Advocate is WTW’s most senior client-facing professional within Corporate Risk & Broking, the Property / Casualty Brokerage division of the firm. In this role, George also focuses on delivering a team-based, consultative risk strategy to key TMT clients.

George joined Willis in 2010 to lead Global Risk Solutions, the business unit that served large, complex corporate clients in Canada and the United States. He was responsible for the vision, strategy and execution of large account facets of operations. This included accountability for the largest revenue synergy initiative in company history, triggered by the merger of Willis Group, Towers Watson and Gras Savoye in 2016.

George joined WTW after 10 years as Vice President – Global Risk Management for SAP SE. SAP, headquartered in Germany is the world’s largest enterprise software company. At SAP, he was responsible for the company’s traditional risk financing and management activities within the framework of a fully implemented enterprise risk (ERM) function. This role included oversight of risk financing including insurance and captives, credit risk management, business continuity and crisis management and due diligence.

Prior to SAP, George had various leadership roles within a global brokerage organization.

    Cyber Practice Leader Canada

    Relevant Experience/Specialization

    Michélle sits within WTW’s FINEX Global Cyber Team and is the Cyber Practice Leader for Canada. Michélle provides Cyber risk solutions to organizations and is particularly experienced in large domestic and international Cyber placements across all industry sectors, where the key coverage issues of Business Interruption, Extortion and Reputational Risk are needed to be addressed.

    Having joined WTW Canada in October 2015, Michélle leads the placement of effective and market‐leading Cyber Liability/Technology E&O risks and advises clients on their Cyber risks and helps them to navigate the challenges that come with this everchanging threat landscape.

    Michélle originally joined WTW FINEX division in London in 2012. For the past 10+ years she has specialized in Cyber Liability and Technology E&O placements.

    Education and Credentials

    Prior to joining WTW, Michélle was an Area Business Manager in the U.K. Retail industry where she was responsible for 14 stores and over 60 staff.
