TORONTO, ON, DECEMBER 12, 2023/insPRESS/ – 30 Forensic Engineering, Canada’s leading and fully-independent multi-disciplinary forensics firm, is pleased to announce that Julia de Lange B.Eng., M.A.Sc., Ph.D., E.I.T., Associate, within our Biomechanics & Personal Injury group has completed her Ph.D. in injury biomechanics.
Dr. Julia de Lange specializes in high-rate injury causation and her Ph.D. research focused on upper extremity injuries for ballistic trauma applications. She also has injury biomechanics experience investigating the injury tolerance thresholds for the human foot/ankle complex under combined ankle rotations for vehicle collisions. She has taught engineering undergraduate courses at McMaster University, has delivered numerous speaking engagements both nationally and internationally and has authored/peer-reviewed numerous research publications and conference proceedings. At 30 Forensic Engineering, Julia conducts technical investigations involving the determination of the mechanics of injury and performance of restraint systems and protective devices. Julia is an Engineer in Training (EIT) via the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO), and is involved with the International Society of Biomechanics, Canadian Society of Biomechanics and the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers.
