A meaningful Impact for those out in the cold – Impact Auto Auctions staff to help the homeless, hungry and hurting

MISSISSAUGA, ON – Impact Auto Auctions’ dedicated employees are assisting vulnerable people who are out in the cold this winter and we invite our industry partners to join the effort.

On Saturday, February 23, 2013, employees from Impact locations in Ontario and Alberta will take part in the Coldest Night of the Year event. They’ll bundle up to face the elements for 5 and 10 kilometre evening walks, joining thousands of walkers in 39 cities across Canada who are assisting local charities in each community. While each charity has a specific, local focus, all are common in their support for the homeless, hungry and hurting.

This year, Impact’s walkers will fundraise for Mission Services of London (London, ON); The Refuge (Oshawa, ON); Samaritan Centre (Sudbury, ON); Hope Mission (Edmonton, AB); and the Kerr Street Ministries (Oakville, ON).

Our walkers will gain only a glimpse into the difficult conditions thousands of people face during frigid Canadian winters. People who live with little food, clothing or shelter very much depend on charities and the generosity of others.

In addition to your donations, Impact will sponsor each employee who walks in the event. Our goal: to raise $10,000 for this very important cause.
