In preparation for the approaching wind and hail season, AIA has added additional classes and estimate preparation training in Ontario and Alberta.

The Academy of Insurance Adjusting will present its successful 2-day Xactimate training for the first time in the Ottawa market on June 17th and 18th.  The class “Understanding and Using Xactimate” is intended for both the new and experienced user of this powerful property estimating software. In this course you will acquire the skills to quickly setup and create estimates using a variety of Xactware tools. You will learn the most efficient ways to produce accurate, professional damage assessments and reports. This hands-on instruction includes a variety of interior and exterior practice estimates with exercises throughout both days to reinforce and review learned skills.  The student will write multiple estimates from start to finish. Class sizes are limited to ensure individualized instruction and the course includes the 300 page Xactimate 28 workbook. In addition, as part of the course, 2 test assignments are given to students to complete and turn in to instructor within two weeks of the end of the course.  Feedback on these mock estimates are provided to help the student refine their estimating writing skills.

Starting at 8:30 AM on both days, the Ottawa class will be held in the Meeting Room of the Insurance Institute of Ontario – Ottawa Chapter office located at 1335 Carling, Suite 300.

The Calgary classes will take place at the AIA Calgary Center on 53rd Ave SE on July 14th and 15th, with a new 1 day class “Exterior Damage Estimates” being offered on July 16th.

Xactimate expert Mr. Jonathan Rice offers the best value for the best hands-on training in the industry. An experienced adjuster who attended  a past AIA Calgary class commented, “All I can say is WOW – been doing this 20 plus years and this guy is good – I now finally understand Xactimate!”
