Deanne Taylor joins St. John’s Newfoundland office as Property and Liability Underwriter

Toronto, ON – Burns & Wilcox Canada today announced that Deanne Taylor has joined the company’s office in St. John’s Newfoundland as Property and Liability Underwriter.

“We are pleased to welcome Deanne Taylor to the Burns & Wilcox family,” said Gary Hirst, National Director, Burns and Wilcox Canada. “Deanne’s experience further expands our capabilities in Atlantic Canada which is the key hub for our business in the region. Ms. Taylor brings 14 years of industry experience to Burns & Wilcox Canada as an underwriter, claims adjuster and customer service representative. She has specific experience assessing and determining acceptability of residential property risks through comprehensive homeowners and woodstove inspections.

In her most recent role, Ms. Taylor was Manager, Homeowners Department at Atlantic Insurance Company and previously worked as a commercial auto underwriter. Prior to joining Atlantic, Ms. Taylor was a Customer Services Representative at Cal Legrow Insurance and previously worked at Crosbie Job Insurance.

In addition to working toward a Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) designation, Ms. Taylor’s professional accreditations include: Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP); Canadian Risk Management Certificate (CRM) and Claims Adjuster Level II.  Ms. Taylor has also completed Site Basic Inspection, Woodstove and Pellet Stove Code Compliance courses from Wood Energy Technology Transfer Inc. (WETT Inc.)
