An original methodology has been developed for the assessment of the climate change risk to municipal infrastructure. Previous climate change impact studies identified more frequent and severe flooding as the main potential impact of climate change in the region. Quantitative and qualitative analyses result in (a) risk to infrastructure which is obtained for each infrastructure element affected and (b) represented spatially. The study outputs include detailed risk maps that form the basis for prioritization of climate change adaptation measures. The application of proposed methodology provides for policy development, decision making and emergency management, preparedness and planning.
