CRU Adjusters Deploying to California Fires

CRU-USA, the US office of CRU Adjusters, is currently deploying adjusters to the California wild fire areas.

According to various news sources, the Valley Fire, 1,086-acres, has destroyed 10 homes and was 30% contained on the morning of September 21.

Another fire, about 100 miles north of San Francisco, in the town of Middletown, CA damage-assessment teams say the blaze ranks as the sixth worst wildfire in California history after destroying more than 1,000 structures, burning more than 75,000 acres and leaving at least three people dead. (An Oakland Hills fire in 1991, ranks as California’s deadliest fire, and its worst in the number of structures destroyed: 2,900.)

The Lake County fire, which has killed at least three people and burned charred 118 square miles, was 70 percent contained September 21.  As of then, approximately 3,500 homes were still at risk.  

In the Sierra Nevada foothills, another fire, 200 miles south of San Francisco, crews this weekend counted more homes destroyed. The fire, which has killed at least two people and burned 110 square miles, was more than 70 percent contained.  While evacuation orders have been lifted, it is still threatening thousands of structures.
