CSIO adds Program Manager and Member Engagement Specialist to its Toronto team

The Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) is pleased to announce the appointments of Avneet Bajwa, Property and Casualty Program Manager and Michael Spiar, Member Engagement and Communications Specialist in the Toronto office.

Avneet comes to CSIO from Accenture, where he worked on various projects as a software engineer and analyst. Avneet brings to this role over five years of specialized experience in systems integration, quality assurance and project management and a demonstrated track record of developing strong working relationships with key stakeholders. Avneet holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business, Western University, a Bachelor Engineering Degree in Computer Science from Manipal University, India and a Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance from the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance.

As Property and Casualty Program Manager, Avneet will be responsible for supporting CSIO’s central mandate of leading member working group activities that enable the identification and implementation of leading-edge technology standards and solutions. 

Michael comes to CSIO from law publisher LexisNexis Canada and health food magazine Clean Eating. At LexisNexis, he specialized in content editing and production, most recently leading a team made up of management, technology and content teams in preparing a new digital product for launch. At Clean Eating, he drove readership through engaging, market-driven copy designed to educate readers and inspire them to action. Michael is a graduate of York University, holding Bachelor degrees in both English and Education.

In his new role, Michael will be responsible for developing and executing key communication initiatives that lead to increased member participation and engagement. As the team continues to advance its communication and member engagement initiatives, Michael’s knowledge, experience and skills will be a great addition to the team.
