Jacinta Whyte, Deputy Group Chief Executive of Ecclesiastical Insurance Group plc and General Manager and Chief Agent for Canada, is pleased to announce the appointment of Joseph (Joe) McKeown to the position of Vice-President, Underwriting. In his new role, Joe is responsible for the execution of Ecclesiastical’s underwriting strategy, policies and programs, as well as leading and developing the Head Office Underwriting Team.

With over 26 years of commercial property and casualty underwriting experience, Joe draws upon a broad range of expertise gained through progressively senior positions at major national and global organizations. In his leadership roles, Joe has successfully enabled both local and international teams to achieve their growth objectives. Joe holds a Bachelor of Applied Science, Civil Engineering degree from the University of Toronto and possesses the P.Eng (Professional Engineer), FCIP and Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designations.
