EFI Global Announces New Additions to its Environmental Services Team

EFI Global is pleased to announce new additions to its Environmental Services Team. EFI Global welcomes Ian Mendes (Environmental Team Leader/Senior Project Engineer) to the Hamilton, Ontario office; Kerry Moules (Project Manager) to the new Sydney, Nova Scotia office; Jean-Marc Barbera (Senior Project Manager) to the Montreal office and Robert Foote (Senior Project Manager) to EFI Global’s new Kingston, Ontario office.

 

Ian Mendes, P. Eng

Ian Mendes joined EFI Global on January 5^th, 2015. Appointed the role of Senior Project Engineer, Ian will be overseeing the Hamilton/GTA Environmental group with his extensive experience leading and directing project activities and building business relationships. A registered Professional Engineer in Ontario since 1997, Ian brings many years of environmental expertise to the EFI Global team. Throughout his career, Ian has been responsible for program leadership, project management, team building, and health and safety.

 

Kerry Moules, C. Tech

EFI Global welcomes the addition of Kerry Moules to our newly opened Sydney office in Nova Scotia. Kerry will be spending part of her time in our existing New Glasgow office while building our Cape Breton clientele. As an environmental project manager, Kerry will be responsible for consulting environmental losses and bringing new clients and geography. Kerry has experience performing Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) and possesses knowledge on contaminant hydrogeology, environmental geophysics, and environmental monitoring and remediation. Her employment history consists of hazardous material investigations (Asbestos Supervisor Certified), hydrogeological consulting, and conducting all phases of ESAs in the Maritimes. 

Jean-Marc Barbera, M. Ing

A bilingual engineer with more than 20 years of international project management experience, Jean-Marc joins the EFI Global office in Montreal, Quebec. Jean-Marc’s extensive career includes roles such as environmental coordinator, project manager, and director. He also worked as a Loss Control Representative for a national insurer, bringing insurance experience to his position of senior environmental project manager. He recently held the position of site construction supervisor with Cirque Du Soleil. Jean-Marc has completed numerous courses on insurance, project management, and safety. He has also taught various mining and environmental courses for Ecole Polytechnqiue de Montreal. 

 

Robert Foote, PMP, CET, CESA

Robert Foote is a Senior Project Manager with EFI Global’s new Kingston, Ontario office. Robert has over 20 years’ experience in the environmental consulting field. Robert has responded to numerous home heating oil and transportation related spills including initial containment, prevention/mitigation of adverse impact and remediation of impacted soil/groundwater utilizing a variety of methods and technologies. Most notable, Robert has significant experience in groundwater control and remediation using pump and treatment methodology. In addition, Mr. Foote has performed a large number of Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments at a variety of commercial/industrial sites. Mr. Foote has provided support to his clients and their legal counsel on several cases involving domestic heating oil losses, including participation in discoveries and providing in court testimony.
