EFI Global Welcomes New Forensic Engineer to Edmonton Office, and New Fire Investigator to Hamilton Office

EFI Global is pleased to welcome Eric Fontenot, P. Eng, CFEI (Forensic Engineer) to the Edmonton, AB office and John Martin, CFEI (Fire Investigator) to the Hamilton, ON office.

Eric Fontenot began his career in 2008. Eric is a solution expertise oriented professional engineer with experience in the oil and gas, mining and forestry industries. His expertise lies in forensic engineering, customer relationships, business development and project management. His previous experience includes managing critical, multimillion-dollar projects, building relationships with new and existing customers and diagnosing technical concerns. As a Forensic Engineer with EFI Global, Eric will be providing forensic mechanical damage assessments to determine the origin and cause of mechanical failure / damage for residential, commercial, and industrial property and equipment. Eric is also a certified fire and explosion investigator. He will be performing fire assessments and determining the origin and cause of structural, equipment and vehicle fires and explosions in Western Canada.

John Martin brings many years of service within the fire industry to our Hamilton office. Beginning his career in 2000, John is experienced in performing fire investigations, creating fire prevention courses, and conducting building and fire code compliance assessments. John has worked throughout southwestern Ontario developing fire safety programs, conducting fire assessments, and managing fire prevention teams.  As a fire investigator with EFI Global, John is responsible for investigating and assessing fire and explosion damage.  He will be determining the origin and cause of fires to vehicles, residential property, and commercial property in southwestern Ontario.
