Elliott Special Risks announces Ricardo Philip as Product Line Leader, Environmental Impairment Liability

Toronto, ON. – Karen Barkley, President of Elliott Special Risks, A Markel International company is pleased to announce that Ricardo Philip has joined the company as Product Line Leader, Environmental Impairment Liability (EIL). Ricardo has responsibility for the accountability and integrity of the EIL product line and will develop and execute product line strategy. He also has responsibility for Eastern Regional business including Quebec. Ricardo will report to Clive Fernandes, VP Central Region and Product Line Leader, CGL.

Ricardo’s insurance career started in 1994 with AIG as an Environmental Consultant with progressive promotions to Technical Service Manager for Canada. He started his underwriting career at ACE INA in 2007 as AVP Environmental Risk where he established the Canadian Environmental practice and expanded it to become one of Canada’s leading EIL markets. Ricardo has a B.Sc. in Biochemistry and a Graduate Diploma in Ecotoxicology from Concordia University.
