Elliott Special Risks, a Markel International company, has recently completed an organizational restructure designed to improve the alignment and management of its business segments.  Supported by a newly formed leadership team, the restructure will deliver a more focused approach to developing key business lines, whilst ensuring the cultures and values remain intrinsic to the organization.

The following appointments are effective August 1st, 2014:

Rod Spurrell is appointed to Vice President, Underwriting & Business Development. He will be responsible for leading a national team of Regional and Product Line Leaders to enhance the organization’s market positioning and improve product line profitability.

Ray Gimble is appointed to Vice President, Technical Underwriting. He will be responsible for national audit reviews and ensuring the clarity of policy documentation, whilst managing operational and compliance related activities.

Jaime Yoon is appointed to Manager, Environmental Liability. She will have responsibility for managing the Central Region’s EIL book of business and leading the team in the Toronto office.
