Envista Forensics Expands Fire & Explosion Team in Canada with New Senior Project Consultant

TORONTO, ON, JULY 10, 2024/insPRESS/ – Envista Forensics, a global forensic consulting firm, is pleased to announce the expansion of its Fire & Explosion team in Canada with the addition of Michael Roess as Senior Project Consultant.

Located in Toronto, Roess brings extensive experience in fire prevention, forensic investigations, and protection systems. With a distinguished background in the Fire Service and educational system, he has held positions such as Deputy Chief, Senior Fire Prevention Officer, Chief Fire Prevention Officer, and college professor. He has personally investigated over 2,500 fires and currently serves as Deputy Chief of Fire Prevention for the Town of North Huron and Huron East Fire Departments.

Roess joins an experienced team including Scott Broad, Aleks Aleksandrov, James Wheeler, and Ian Read.

Scott spent the last four years managing Envista’s US operations and has returned to lead the Major Loss Group. With over 25 years of forensic experience, including fire investigations, railway operations, renewable energy, and electrical failures, Scott brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise. In addition to investigating over 1,200 fires, he spent 21 years with Canadian National Railways as a rail engineer, yardmaster, and conductor, providing invaluable expertise in railway operational matters.
