Farm Mutual Reinsurance Plan is Seeking an Agriculture Business Manager

Do you have experience in agri-business portfolio development?  We have a unique and exciting opportunity for an Agriculture Business Manager to exercise creativity through the application of agricultural and insurance industry knowledge to enhance our agri-business insurance program.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will include acting as a key resource, providing recommendations for portfolio development and improvement to underwriting products. In addition you will act as a liaison between FMRP, key stakeholders and business partners.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• • • Working in concert with Underwriting to produce recommendations for expansion of agri-business property and casualty agreements, wordings and coverage
    • Enhancing facultative reinsurance programs for agri-business risks
    • Providing technical expertise on agri-business risks to assist R&D in strategy development
    • Providing guidance to Loss Control Services to augment inspection criteria and risk management recommendations for the agri-business portfolio
    • Liaising with Claims Department in the enhancement of best practices for adjusting agri-business risks
    • Providing market intelligence on industry practices and trends for agricultural based business

 

You will have professional development opportunities to enhance existing skills through courses, conferences and seminars.

Education, Experience and Knowledge

• • • A college diploma in business, agriculture, or a related discipline
    • A professional certification such as the CIP, CRM, or equivalent Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance technical background, or working towards it
    • A minimum of 10 years’ technical experience in the P&C insurance industry including experience in a product management role
    • Exceptional communication skills and established networking experience within the industry
