Edmonton—Canada’s leading investigative services firm, Forensic Investigations Canada (FIC), has acquired the niche investigative services of Vancouver-based Executive Risk Management (ERM). This acquisition enhances FIC’s presence in the West, and will provide its clients with the enhanced investigative expertise of this experienced and well-respected firm.
Founded in 2000 as a result of a multi-agency merger, ERM is an investigative risk solutions service provider that has earned industry-wide respect under the leadership of Mr. John Hilpert, who will maintain a leadership role after the acquisition. ERM has served as a “one-stop” investigative entity for its clientele in the law, insurance, corporate, and public sectors. In 2005 ERM and FIC began a working relationship, which has since grown and developed into a strong partnership, culminating in this acquisition.
Known for providing its clients with accurate and up-to-date information, ERM has specialized in providing solutions to corporations, and will add depth to FIC’s investigative and information services. ERM has developed strong relationships with federal government organizations, the finance sector, police agencies, and public and corporate networks in western Canada and the USA. ERM has also provided investigative expertise on cross-border assignments for the FBI and Interpol. ERM’s niche services will serve FIC’s corporate and insurance client base well, and Mr. Hilpert will play a key role in growing those markets in BC.
