First General of Greater Toronto / Halton Peel / Durham Region are pleased to announce the appointment of Neal Weir as President and Geoffrey Gonneau as Director of Project Manager Training and Development.

NEAL WEIR – President

Neal Weir has held various sales and operational management positions in the automotive, financial and industrial marketplaces. Neal has a passion and delivers proven results for improving the organizational culture of the businesses that he has been a part of. Neal has a degree in Chemical Engineering (University of Toronto) and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business. Neal has lead several companies and recently sold his last company to a large multinational firm. Neal is very excited about joining First General and the Insurance Restoration industry.

GEOFFREY GONNEAU – Director of Project Manager Training and Development

Geoffrey Gonneau has worked within the Fire and Water Restoration Industry for the last three decades. He has studied construction management, business studies and holds the full roster of IICRC Certifications. Geoff went to his first fire loss at 12 years old and is the second generation of his family to help various insured’s recover in their worst times. Geoff has been involved with catastrophe events such as the Barrie and Maple Tornado, the Mississauga Train Derailment, the various gas explosions in Downsview and Scarborough and most recently the July 8th flooding events. Geoff is well versed in all types and sizes of property reconstruction claims.
