Mark Lockwood appointed as Director of Sales for Able Translations and Able Transport

Wilson Teixeira, President of Able Translations and Able Transport, is extremely pleased to announce that Mark Lockwood has joined his companies as Director of Sales.

“As we celebrate our 20^th anniversary, and our companies continue to expand, I am excited to bring Mark on board,” noted Wilson, “Having worked closely with Mark in his prior position at RBC Insurance, as a vendor manager, I look forward to capitalizing on his experience and knowledge.”

Mark is a graduate of the University of New Brunswick, 1991. Moving to Toronto from Fredericton he worked for three years in various roles at the CBC in Television News, before eventually falling into insurance. “Honestly, I believe most of us do fall into it, I recall a town hall meeting not long after I started with The Economical when the branch manager asked how many people attending went to school thinking they would work in insurance, in a room of about 300 only two hands went up.”

For the past, almost two decades, Mark has worked for some of Canada’s largest insurance companies: The Economical, Zurich, ING, and finally a decade with RBC Insurance. Navigating his career through many areas of insurance claims: auto, home, travel, commercial, subrogation, and vendor relations, from adjusting to management, Mark brings with him the ability to understand client needs and Able Translations and Able Transport’s ability to fulfill them.

In recent years, Mark has been a member of the board of The National Association of Subrogation Professional’s (Canada) and sat on the IBC Towing and Storage Working Group since inception. Mark was also an active participant with the multi-ministerial working group that looked into the various concerns of possible fraud in the towing, storage and body shop industries. He has also been engaged by numerous municipal governments and police agencies to speak on these concerns.

Outside of work, Mark is engrossed with the joy of raising 4 children and lapping up every chance encounter life may offer, often at his family homestead on the shores of Prince Edward County. Having been blessed with a number of robust life experiences, Mark is equally as comfortable at hypnotizing a chicken or attending the 2^nd Presidential Inauguration for Barack Obama as a quest on the congressional front lawn.
