Pario Engineering & Environmental Sciences extends its services to Southwestern Ontario by launching Brantford office

Toronto – Pario Engineering & Environmental Sciences (Pario), one of Canada’s top providers of engineering and environmental services, announced today that it has launched a new branch location in Brantford, Ontario to better serve clients in the Southwestern Ontario region. Edward Poon, P. Eng., has been announced as Director of this new office, and he will receive support from Ryan Cockle, P. Eng., and Senior Environmental Technologist David Giles.

Educated in Civil Engineering at the University of Toronto, Edward Poon, P. Eng., brings extensive experience to his role as Director, Brantford Office of Pario Engineering & Environmental Sciences. He has comprehensive expertise in structural failure cause analysis; assessment of structural damage caused by fires, explosion, vibration, ground movement, wind and snow load, vehicle impact, and water infiltration; and analysis of building science and building envelope deficiencies/failures, among other specializations. Mr. Poon has been qualified as an expert witness in the Province of Ontario and an expert in Alternative Disputes Resolution. He has a reputation for building strong client relationships, which has allowed him to continuously grow his circle of influence throughout the industry.

 

Ryan Cockle

After receiving his Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University and working in the Mechanical Design industry via the manufacturing sector, Ryan Cockle P. Eng., CFEI, CVFI, CFII, brings years of experience to his role with Pario. A member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers, National Association of Fire Investigators, and the Canadian Association of Fire Investigators, Mr. Cockle is experienced in the investigation of residential fires and large loss commercial fires, and he is also known in the industry as a specialist in vehicle fires, having performed hundreds of investigations.

 

David Giles

Originally educated as a Technologist at Sir Sanford Fleming College, David Giles is now Senior Environmental Technologist with Pario Engineering & Environmental Sciences. He has been providing environmental consulting and contracting services to the insurance industry since 2006, following 18 months of Phase II and III site assessments for the fuel supply industry. Mr. Giles has also managed several hundred trucking and residential oil spills, giving him a thorough understanding of the steps necessary to effectively remediate a site with a keen eye on costs and keeping the client satisfied.

 

“During discussions with clients in Southwestern Ontario region, it was clear that there was a need for additional local service in that area,” said Doug Tremblay, P.
