Paul Davis Systems Partners with Raising the Roof to Tackle Homelessness

Toronto, Ontario, December 2, 2014 – Paul Davis Systems (Paul Davis) is proud to announce that it is an official National Partner of Raising the Roof, a national charity which provides leadership toward long-term solutions to homelessness.

Emergency restoration specialist Paul Davis has invested $100,000 in support of Raising the Roof’s 2014-2015 Toque Campaign. The campaign will peak with the annual celebration of Toque Tuesday, on February 3rd, 2015. Paul Davis will be joining National Partners Intact Financial Corporation and the Canadian Traffic Network on the campaign this year.

Paul Davis locations across Canada will sell toques bearing the familiar Raising the Roof house logo at special Toque Tuesday events and throughout the winter season. Net proceeds from toque sales will help Raising the Roof’s partner agencies across Canada to provide resources and support to people experiencing homelessness.

“Our passion for Raising the Roof is a natural given what we do day-to-day. This partnership gives our people another opportunity to work for those in their communities who need it most. And they love it.”

The partnership goes beyond a monetary donation. Paul Davis franchises will be working with their local partner agencies as of today, Giving Tuesday. There will be local events, social media promotions and campaigns to drive toque sales and create awareness for ‘the big day’ in February.

With 65 offices across the country, Paul Davis employees will have a tremendous impact on the number of toques we are able to sell in support of long-term solutions to homelessness. Our ultimate goal is to sell 40,000 toques this year, a target we believe is entirely achievable, in part thanks to Paul Davis’ 10,000-toque commitment. Toque sales will directly impact local communities across Canada, providing much-needed funding to those who directly support the homeless.”

Since 1997, Raising the Roof’s Annual Toque Campaign has supported long-term solutions to homelessness across Canada. To date, Raising the Roof has generated almost $4 million for local Partner agencies working towards lasting solutions to homelessness.

Where the money goes:

80% of the net proceeds from the Toque Campaign benefit grassroots Partner Agencies helping homeless people in cities and towns across Canada

The remaining 20% of net proceeds supports Raising the Roof’s national homelessness initiatives like the Child & Family Homelessness Initiative and Youthworks.
