Julie Pingree joins RSA as Vice President, Commercial Insurance

Toronto – July 11, 2013 – Leading property & casualty insurer RSA is pleased to announce the appointment of Julie Pingree to Vice President, Commercial Insurance.

Reporting to Donna Ince, Senior Vice President, Personal and Commercial Insurance, Julie’s mandate will be to grow RSA’s small to medium commercial book profitably, while enhancing the company’s broker service model and evolving ePolicy, RSA’s electronic trading platform.

Julie joins RSA from Northbridge Insurance where she was Senior Vice President Corporate Underwriting, having held that position since 2011.  Julie started her career in insurance with RSA in 1987, progressing to the role of Underwriting Manager, Western Assurance over the following 10 years. She then joined Intact Insurance, where she held progressively senior positions to become Commercial Lines Vice President from 2007 to 2011.

In addition, Julie has partnered with the Insurance Institute and is a member of the organizing committee of the annual CIP Symposium. She also sits on the IIC National Council.

Julie holds a BA from the University of Toronto and is a Chartered Insurance Professional.
