The Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC) is pleased to announce that SGI CANADA has maintained its support of the Broker Identity Program at the Full Partner level.

The Program’s centre-piece is the BIP symbol known as the BIPPER. The symbol captures the value that insurance brokers bring their clients: choice, coverage, security and peace of mind. By investing in the program, SGI CANADA supports a campaign whose purpose is to raise awareness of the value of the insurance broker distribution network.

“The independent broker network is essential to ensuring consumers have the advice they need about insurance products,” said President and CEO Andrew Cartmell. “Brokers are SGI CANADA’s business partners, collaborators, and teammates. That’s why we’ve taken several actions to support independent brokers on multiple levels, including restructuring internal departments to step up support and connect with brokers in new ways. I want to be very clear about where we stand – working in partnership with a strong and vital broker network to provide the best possible service to customers.”

IBAC Chief Executive Officer Dan Danyluk added: “We are delighted that SGI CANADA is remaining a Full Partner. Our branding program continues to showcase that brokers offer the best advice to Canadians and SGI CANADA understands it.”

Launched 26 years ago, the mission of the Broker Identity Program is to promote the value and professionalism of the insurance broker to consumers, insurers and governments. It is a branding campaign for over 35,000 insurance brokers.
