Ride for Heart 2014

Team STRONE-Itech – a group of 19 riders from STRONE and Itech – has wrapped up a very successful second tour at Ride for Heart. After weeks of fundraising and riding distances of 25 – 75 km throughout Toronto, Team STRONE-Itech collected $7,110 in generous pledges.

Ride for Heart gives riders an experience of a lifetime, riding on the Gardiner Expressway and Don Valley Parkway in Toronto, vehicle traffic-free. This year’s ride on June 1st attracted 15,000 riders, dedicated to support the Heart & Stroke Foundation and the thousands of Canadians it helps each day.

Sincere thanks to friends, clients, family, and co-workers for their support and encouragement leading up to the ride. It’s this backing that provides fuel for riders during their training and the Ride for Heart itself.

Congratulations and thanks to team members, Nayyer Bahman, Theresa Barclay, Neil Blinco, Franky Chan, Stephen Coombs, Mark Finlay, Kerry-Anne Gallagher, Dave Gent, Erich Guthrie, Tom Hopkins, Paula Lewis, Amy McDermott, Mario Orellana, Teresa Rennie, Mike Scardino, Kabir Shaal, Kevin Spiers, along with Co-Captains Adriana Kop and Rob Symons.

While its 2014 campaign was a great success, 2015’s ride is already being discussed amongst Team STRONE-Itech’s riders. It is promising to be another memorable one, stay tuned for more details.
