The Guarantee Company of North America Donates $10,000 to the Canadian Red Cross in Support of the Lac-Mgantic Explosions

Toronto, Ontario, July 9, 2013 – As a devastated community deals with the aftermath of Saturday’s train explosion, The Guarantee Company of North America (The Guarantee) has donated $10,000 to the Lac-Mégantic fund through the Canadian Red Cross to provide meaningful help to those affected by this disaster.

By donating through the Canadian Red Cross we can help the town of Lac-Mégantic and those directly affected by this devastating accident – it’s the right thing to do,” said Marilyn Horrick, National VP for Guarantee GOLD®, The Guarantee.

We are working with our broker partners and together we ensured adjusters are on site and meeting with impacted customers to get the claims process started immediately.” Daniel continued, “Our thoughts are with the individuals and families in Lac-Mégantic.”

The Guarantee’s donation will be used to help meet the most critical needs of evacuees and support the Red Cross as it mobilizes volunteer teams and provides emergency services and supplies, including beds, blankets, and pillows.
