Broker technology vendor Applied Systems Canada Inc. has opened a new division – Applied Consulting Services – which will specialize in “holistic” technology application projects. Specifically, the new service will focus on integration of third-party software applications with Applied System’s “Agency Manager” broker software, says Tammye Daniels, a marketing manager at the company. The consulting service has been available in the U.S. for some time, she notes, “but we’re looking at the Canadian service on a whole different level. The services we will be offering will be more extensive.”

An area which Applied Consulting expects will generate significant interest is integration of Internet websites with management software. The integration issue has always been a challenge facing brokers looking to develop a web presence, she adds. Applied Consulting will also provide Internet site construction and solutions allowing for Internet generated information to be funneled into a broker’s database. Andrew Wood, a director of the new division summarizes, “the objective is to develop a strategic partnership with our clients, through the provision of a wide range of tailored services to help them take full advantage of their software investment”.
