In the February 2003 issue of Canadian Underwriter magazine, the article “Illusion or Reality?” comments attributed to me may have given some readers the impression that the electronic on-line solution mentioned is a proprietary system of Wawanesa Insurance, which it is not.

The system I referred to is IntelliQuote, a complete SEMCI solution which has been developed with our assistance by a broker-owned software firm, Custom Software Solutions.

Wawanesa continues to work in a strategic alliance with Custom Software Solutions to further develop the IntelliQuote product, which has been designed as a complete solution capable of handling rating, editing and interface requirements.

Participation with IntelliQuote is open to all brokers and insurers, through contacting Custom Software Solutions.
